The Co-founders and Principal Engineers of ICE International and Soiltest.biz are Peter Lennox and Ray Hatfield.  With over 80 years of combined engineering experience between them, Peter and Ray are specialists, with a highly diverse portfolio of skills and projects in Queensland, Australia and Internationally.

Brought together through a mutual interest in yacht building and sailing, they began working together as consulting engineers and contractors in Melbourne in 1974.  They developed and completed numerous complex, big-budget projects. Peter is based in the Australia Cairns firm, and Ray is in Singapore Office.

They have acquired rich and highly diverse experience through the participation in and completion of a significant number of varied local and international projects, many with multi-million-dollar budgets, including commercial developments, tourist facilities, bungee towers, bridge construction, shipping structures, wharves and ship loaders, housing and structural design for the oil and petroleum industry in South East Asia.

Peter has over 40 years of experience as an engineer and has acquired rich and highly diverse experience through the participation in, and completion of, a great number of varied local and international projects, including many with multi-million-dollar budgets.  Peter has led projects from their inception to completion and has strong communication and negotiation skills.  Accordingly, Peter’s diverse experience and realistic views ensure clients, contractors and sub-contractors can be confident in his demonstrated capacity to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Raymond Hatfield: Principal Engineer

Singapore Office

Ray has been a consulting engineer and project manager on a wide variety of domestic and international projects including the strengthening of a major wharf at Jurong Port, Singapore, undertaking major repairs to a very large cargo-carrying (VLCC) berthing dolphin in Singapore and constructing steel mill structures for a nickel mine in Sulawesi, Indonesia.  Ray is a permanent resident of Singapore, where he is a registered Professional Engineer and is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.  Ray is also registered as a Professional Engineer in Queensland, Australia.
